We’ve provided this policy to help current and potential volunteers and participants understand our policies and procedures regarding working with FAMCOS in any capacity. This policy is also here to protect volunteers/participants and those we serve.
FAMCOS is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and impactful environment for both volunteers and program participants. This policy outlines expectations, rights, and responsibilities for everyone involved in our programs.
Volunteers and participants must meet the following criteria:
All prospective volunteers and participants must complete a registration form. Additional steps may include interviews, orientation sessions, and training modules specific to the chosen program.

FAMCOS prioritizes safety and may require training, reporting procedures, and supervision protocols. Any unsafe behavior or incident should be reported immediately to a supervisor or staff member.
Volunteers and participants must respect the confidentiality of others. Sharing personal, medical, or identifying information without consent is strictly prohibited.
FAMCOS reserves the right to dismiss any volunteer or participant who fails to adhere to this policy or who compromises the safety or integrity of the program.
Volunteers and participants may be photographed or recorded during events. Consent will be obtained during the registration process, and opt-out options will be available.
All volunteers and participants are required to sign an acknowledgment form indicating they have read, understood, and agree to follow this policy.
Fifth Avenue Mentoring Community and Outreach Services (FAMCOS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
